This class will instruct students on how to use Adobe Premiere Pro CC, one of the most popular non-linear editing software used in film productions all the way from Student Films and Video Aficionados to Major Hollywood Films like: Avatar, Hugo, Gone Girl and Deadpool to mention a few.
Students will be provided with audiovisual assets and will be taught the basics of editing. With those skills they will be able to start the edit process right away.

Required materials: A personal laptop with a subscription to Adobe Premiere is required.
Students will learn basic editing skills, including how to:
- Create a project from scratch
- Import footage, create sequences, work with photos and organize your bin
- Create and edit cuts
- Use tools to make within the software
- Work with audio
- Color correct your video
- Create titles
- Learn about safe margins.
- Export your video correctly to fit different platforms.
About the Instructor:
Miguel E. Escobar Ruiz started working as a Director of Photography and Editor for short films and documentaries before and after graduating from college as well as a Photographer for the live music scene, portrait sessions, weddings and photojournalism in Venezuela.
He moved to United States to pursue his Master Degrees in Film Production at Full Sail University and right after that moved to Miami to start working in the entertainment industry. Miguel has worked in shows for Discovery Channel, E! Entertainment Television, Feature Films,Music Videos and Others. As well as a Photographer for many different projects personal and commercial. Currently, Miguel works as the Equipment Supervisor and Filmmaking Teacher at New York Film Academy in South Beach.
