Information
“Sound is the vocabulary of nature” – Pierre Schaeffer
We continue offering a series of introductory workshops to explore cinematic art. This workshop will discuss sound for picture and why it is important and so often overlooked. We will examine the basic concepts and terminology of Production Sound Mixing and its tools to make it all happen. We will go through the instructor’s typical sound kit and explain what each device does, and time permitting he will open up a Pro Tools session and go through his template, made specifically for Audio Post Production.
Finally, as we understand students will be coming in with varying levels of experience we will designate at least 30 minutes to ask specific questions they have about sound. Are you looking toward a possible career option or simply have questions pertaining to a current project? From aspiring sound professionals to videographers looking to widen their knowledge, this should be a fun, informative class that many people can benefit from.
