This virtual course is ideal for beginner and intermediate students who want to improve their painting skills and learn a step-by-step process to create a painting of a pet. No previous painting experience is required.
Classes will cover preliminary drawing, color theory and color combination, paint application, light, tones, values, form, texture, composition, and the use of brushes.
Students will use a picture of a dog painted by the instructor as a visual reference in the first two classes. Following his method and demonstrations, they will draw and then paint it. In the last two classes, the students can use an image of their choice, either a painting or a photo of their pet, and complete the picture following the same method learned with the Instructor’s guidance.
Students will have constant evaluation and guidance during the class, including demonstrations, practices, and assessments. A final critique will take place before the end of the course.
