Oolite Arts Announces New Communications and Marketing Leadership
August 18, 2025 – Oolite Arts is excited to announce the appointment of Claudia DoCampo as Director of Communications and Marketing, leading the expansion of our Communications and Marketing team. Joining her are Wanda Wright as Content and Communications Manager and Danny Plana as Senior Graphic Designer. Together, they bring deep experience in journalism, storytelling, design, and strategic communications to support Oolite Arts’ mission and elevate the work of Miami’s artists.
Claudia DoCampo is the Director of Communications and Marketing at Oolite Arts. Before joining in April 2025, she led communications and community engagement at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital and spent over a decade as a bilingual multimedia reporter at NBC6 and Telemundo51, where Miami New Times named her Best TV News Reporter in 2011. Claudia has reported on major stories nationwide for CBS, NBC, and Telemundo stations, bringing more than 20 years of experience in journalism. She is a three-time Emmy nominee and a Wisconsin Broadcasters Association merit award recipient. Claudia holds a BFA with honors in Media Studies from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY.
Wanda Wright joined Oolite Arts in June 2025 as Content and Communications Manager. She began her career in television news, producing newscasts, anchoring, reporting, and mentoring aspiring journalists. Wanda later worked as a Public Relations Associate for the international NGO Food For The Poor, highlighting its impact across the Caribbean and Latin America. Most recently, she served as Communications Specialist at Florida Memorial University, where she developed academic content, produced videos, secured media coverage, and advanced brand awareness initiatives.
Danny Plana joined Oolite Arts as Senior Graphic Designer in July 2025. A bilingual visual communicator and design strategist with more than 15 years of experience, Danny has led creative campaigns across education, the arts, and consumer brands. Prior to joining Oolite Arts, he served as Senior Graphic Designer at Florida Memorial University, where he streamlined design systems and helped redefine the university’s visual identity. His previous roles include positions at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Florida International University, HairUWear, and Biscayne Media. Danny holds a BFA in Graphic Design from Florida Atlantic University.
With Claudia providing strategic leadership and Wanda and Danny expanding the team’s content and design capacity, Oolite Arts is positioned to further elevate its storytelling and outreach in support of Miami’s artists and creative community.
