Rina Carvajal

Oolite Arts is excited to welcome Rina Carvajal as our new Senior Director of Programs.

Rina joins Oolite Arts with a longstanding commitment to supporting artists and strengthening the creative communities they help shape. An internationally recognized curator, arts administrator and writer, she brings more than three decades of experience leading museums, curating exhibitions and global biennials and advancing multidisciplinary artistic practices. As Senior Director of Programs, she will help guide Oolite Arts’ artistic vision and oversee exhibitions, residencies, education programs and public initiatives across South Florida and beyond.

Rina has led institutional transformations, expanded operational capacity and built networks of artists, funders and civic partners, while fostering experimentation and inclusive community engagement. Her career spans The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, MOCA Los Angeles, the São Paulo Biennial and major museums across Latin America, Europe and the United States. Most recently, she served as Executive Director and Chief Curator of MOAD at Miami Dade College, where she launched initiatives that expanded community access to contemporary art.
