Auditheque 2.0 Inauguration

For the inauguration of Audiotheque 2.0, Gustavo Matamoros created a sound installation titled “Four Audible Experiences of Movement of Sound in Space” conceived to highlight the full capabilities of the new sound system.

The first experience is called, “Everglades: Applied Universal Force for Charles Recher.” The second is titled, “String Solo for Vito Acconci.” Followed by “Small Sounds Up The Wall for Alison Knowles” and last (but not least) is “Eighty Five Audible Moments for Pauline Oliveros.”

In the months ahead of its debut, Matamoros will create additional content for the system in collaboration with sound artists from Miami and abroad, and for the benefit of the general public and members of the arts community. The aim is to provide sound art experiences not available elsewhere in South Florida.

Audiotheque 2.0 is a 2017 Knight Arts Challenge project.
