“Drawing is understanding and capturing the world around you with your inner eyes”
Strengthen your skills through a classical approach to drawing using a step-by-step method to learn to draw animals. This course is for the absolute beginner to the intermediate student. It covers all the fundamentals of drawing learning representational techniques. The class virtually meets for 4 consecutive weeks.
Demonstrations, drawing time, and individual critiques focus on the fundamentals of proportion, comparison, gesture, abstract shapes, value, and rendering will be teaching.
Each class will focus on different types of animals: wild, domestic, sea world animals, and birds.
Following a step-by-step process, students will learn to see first each element with the right side of the brain to represent them drawing correctly, learning a structure making a series of analytical drawings in each class.
In the last half an hour, they will do quick sketches to develop spontaneity and capture the subject matter’s expression.
Students will be guided according to their skills with a constant evaluation while they are drawing. At the end of this 4-week course, students will master basic drawing abilities to develop a visual vocabulary.
