About the Artist
Julie Davidow is a contemporary artist in Miami, FL. Her practice includes minimal, geometric paintings, drawings, photography and site-specific installations referencing science and architecture.
Her past exhibitions include the NMWA in Washington, DC; Miami Art Museum Miami; Museum of Art Ft. Lauderdale; Girl’s Club Ft Lauderdale; Frost Museum of Art; Miami FL; Tampa Museum of Art; SECCA, Winston-Salem, NC; ArtSpace Raleigh, NC; and numerous galleries nationwide.
Her work has been featured in the documentary film Women Painting, Studio Visit Magazine, New American Paintings Vol. 52 and 76, Art Papers, Art Districts, The Miami Herald and is included in the permanent collections of the Perez Art Museum Miami, Girl’s Club Ft Lauderdale, FL; EPIC Residence Hotel, Miami; and many private collections.
She received her BA in Communications from UNF Jacksonville in 1987 and studied painting at NWSA in Miami from 1996-1999. In addition, Davidow is the coauthor of the book Miami Contemporary Artists.
