Opening Reception & Open Studios

In celebration of Oolite Arts’ 40th anniversary, we invite you to a special evening honoring our resident artists at the opening of Between Here and Elsewhere, curated by Omar López-Chahoud.

This dynamic exhibition showcases the work of Oolite Arts’ resident artists and filmmakers, offering unique points of entry into explorations of personal histories, collective memory, social structures, ecological terrains, and speculative worlds. Spanning lens-based media, material practices, spatial interventions, and digital forms, Between Here and Elsewhere invites you to step across thresholds—between the familiar and the unknown, the present and the possible.

As part of this event, we are thrilled to host Open Studios, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet our resident artists, engage in their creative process, and experience their works-in-progress firsthand.

Additionally, we are proud to present Miami Arts Charter School: Emerging Voices, a vitrine exhibition showcasing exceptional works by young artists from Miami Arts Charter School. Emerging Voices celebrates a year of artistic growth, dedication, and exploration, offering a glimpse into the future of Miami’s creative landscape.
