New Home
Oolite Arts has taken a bold step forward toward its future home in Little River. After years of planning, the countdown to our new campus officially kicked off on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, with the creation of a massive mural on the current warehouse buildings at 75 NW 72nd Steet. Miami-based artist HOXXOH is transforming every wall with his signature swirling designs, using a cherry picker and custom sprayer to bring the empty structures to life before they come down to make way for construction in mid-2026. “I’ve enjoyed Oolite’s programming for years, and I’m super honored to be working with them on this project,” said HOXXOH. The mural has the neighborhood buzzing.

This vibrant display is more than just paint on walls—it’s the first glimpse of what’s to come. Designed by internationally renowned architectural firm Barozzi Veiga, the groundbreaking of Oolite Arts’ new campus is scheduled to take place in 2026 and will feature artist studios, exhibition and theater spaces, a maker space, a print shop, and classrooms for more than 400 art classes each year. The design will balance private spaces for artists with bright, welcoming areas for the community, all while incorporating sustainable elements aimed at achieving LEED certification. This will be landmark moment for Miami’s growing cultural scene.

With 26,850 square feet of space, the new campus will be a home where creativity and community thrive. From rooftop events and public exhibitions to cutting-edge artist residencies, this project is built to inspire and connect. For our supporters and future donors, the mural marks an exciting opportunity to join us at the ground floor of a transformative moment in Miami’s arts history. We are thrilled to share that the project has already garnered media coverage, and you can read more in the link below. Together, we can make this vision a reality for the artists and community we serve.

The Architects
Oolite Arts hired the Architectural Firm Barozzi Veiga of Barcelona, Spain, to design our future world-class campus.
The firm’s principals—Fabrizio Barozzi and Alberto Veiga—have extensive experience creating cultural buildings around the world. Some of their projects include a revamp of the master plan for the Art Institute of Chicago, the Szczecin Philharmonic Hall in Poland and the Fine Arts Museum MCBA in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Barozzi Veiga has conceived of a space that prioritizes both artist and community needs.
