Maikel Domínguez (b. 1989, Holguín, Cuba) is a Cuban-American visual artist exiled in Miami. He holds a B.F.A. from the University of Arts (ISA) in Havana and studied at The Royal Institute of Art (Konstfack) in Stockholm and the Academy of Fine Arts El Alba in Holguín. His practice spans painting, sculpture, and jewelry, exploring identity, memory, and transformation through symbolic imagery. Domínguez has presented solo exhibitions including He Calls Me Diablo (Galleri Duerr, Stockholm, 2020), Rosa Pájaro (Laundromat Art Space, Miami, 2020), Venus Wounded (Main Library, Miami, 2018), Full of Pollen (Kendall Art Center, Miami, 2018), Bellas Ausencias (Rimonim Art Gallery, Miami, 2016), Antes que anochezca (Galleri Duerr, Stockholm, 2011), and Si el mar se secara lo sembrara de caña (Carmelo Galería, Havana, 2009). He has also participated in group exhibitions in Cuba, the U.S., Italy, Sweden, Luxembourg, Spain, and Canada.
