Cornelius Tulloch is a Miami-based interdisciplinary artist and designer. With work transcending the barriers of architecture, art, and fashion, Cornelius focuses on how creative mediums can be combined to tell powerful stories. In 2016 he was named a Presidential Scholars in the Arts by the Obama Administration and recently a winner of the Your Portrait 2020 competition hosted by the Brooklyn Museum and Instagram. Cornelius has also been awarded a 2020 Ellies Creator Award, and his work was added to the permanent collection of the Studio Museum in Harlem in August of 2020. Gaining Inspiration from his Jamaican and African American Heritage, his work expresses how bodies exist between cultures, borders, and characteristics, to create spatial impact. He creates icons out of objects that further act as symbols of an identity. Cornelius’ cultural consciousness, attention to color, and visual narratives translate through all of his art and design work.
