MIAMI – The Cuban-American César E. Trasobares (Holguín, 1949) is one of the most notable figures in the visual arts in South Florida. Trasobares, who emigrated with his family to the United States in 1965, has carved out a path as an artist, activist, consultant and art curator, a career recently recognized by Oolite Arts , with one of the most important Ellies awards, the Michael Richards.
Regarding the Michael Richards award, he declared himself “deeply grateful”, as it is “recognition of my work over the last 40 years, especially significant when I retire from my professional career as an art administrator. Fortunately, an artist, curator or author never stops working, as I pretend ”.
