In this virtual introductory workshop, Ed Talavera, award-winning director of photography and cinematographer of narrative and documentary feature films, will teach basic lighting techniques for interviews, b-roll and recreations.

About Ed Talavera:
Ed Talavera is an award-winning director of photography and cinematographer of narrative and documentary feature films. Talavera’s numerous film credits include work that has aired on HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, and theaters worldwide. Talavera’s unique and evocative visual style has garnered international praise and awards. His latest film “Finding Gaston” won numerous awards in film festivals worldwide. A graduate of New York University’s Graduate Film program, Talavera also serves as the coordinator of the film M.F.A. program at the University of Miami’s Department of Cinema and Interactive Media and directs the Canes Film Festival, an annual showcase of student films.
