In between dreamscapes:
Nicole Salcedo
In between dreamscapes showcases a new body of work by Nicole Salcedo. Colorful spirit-like figures, floating in wave formation, are meant to evoke the sense of weightlessness of the dream world. Each figure is painted in watercolors and inks on paper and is arranged to indicate a slow, yearning movement towards one another. With this work, Salcedo taps into a collective desire to escape the seemingly ongoing crisis of waking life, and re-connect to our dream selves in order to help us envision a more kind and harmonious future.
