Miami-based Argentine artist Candria uses a wide array of media to create introspective works to talk about reminiscences, memory and oblivion. She often uses the repetition and juxtaposition of images to create intimate and poetic narratives loaded with nostalgia. Candria graduated in sculpture from Escuela Nacional Bellas Artes (U.N.A.) and Escuela Nacional de Cerámica, Buenos Aires, Argentina. In addition, she studied Applied Musical Computer Science at Fonorama and Image Editing at Mac Training Center (UNTREF).
She is currently a resident artist of The Bakehouse Art Complex in Miami. Awarded with the ArtReview Residency Prize Candria was artist in residence at Casa Wabi, Oaxaca, Mexico, 2019. In 2020, her work has been selected to be included in MIA’s permanent collection.
