The course continues the exploration of the line and its possibilities: We will focus on exploring positive and negative space, composition, and geometry through didactic and challenging exercises involving the line. The course will focus on each student’s personal development, with the sole purpose of enriching their own creative explorations and confidence.

About the instructor
Gonzalo Fuenmayor was born in Barranquilla, Colombia in 1977. He received his MFA from School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA in 2004, and a BFA in Fine Arts and Art Education from School of Visual Arts in 2000, where he was awarded a full-tuition scholarship from the Keith Haring Foundation. Fuenmayor has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in USA, Latin America, and Europe. He also has years of experience teaching college-level courses in drawing and painting in the US and abroad. Currently, he teaches drawing at the University of Miami’s School of Architecture. Fuenmayor lives and works in Miami and is an Oolite Arts’ resident artist and art instructor.
