Information
This engaging 4-week course will guide you through the art of Still Life Painting and Drawing, designed for both beginners and intermediate artists. Each session will explore key painting concepts, including composition, measuring and proportion, color theory, value, texture, and paint application.
The course begins with foundational skills, such as setting up and drawing Still Life arrangements to enhance your observational abilities. You’ll then explore color theory, focusing on palette selection and achieving color harmony, before moving on to brushwork techniques that create texture and form. Additionally, you’ll learn to observe and capture light and shadow, adding depth and realism to your compositions.
Students will receive personalized instruction and demonstrations during each class, tailored to their progress with the exercises. This course provides a supportive environment to develop your unique mark-making style and personal approach to painting.
Please note that materials are not included. A supplies list will be provided upon registration.
Refund & Cancellation Policy: Attendees can request refunds up to 1 day before their class start date. Classes must meet a minimum enrollment number to run.
