Information
This is an ideal course for beginner-intermediate students who want to learn how to incorporate light, shadows, values, and tones in their portrait drawings and improve their shading portrait skills to accomplish a more realistic and tridimensional result in the drawing. No previous drawing training is required. This two-day workshop is perfect for new students and a continuation for those who took previous portrait courses.
Students will learn how to represent a portrait realistically in different portraits positions following different shading techniques, learning in detail how to make and to combine all the face’s features adding their shading, and building the whole portrait. Students are going to draw first the outline structure of the face and shading later completing all details in the portrait, using several images as visual references in the learning process.
Students will have constant evaluation while they are drawing, through Individual instruction and demonstrations, and according to how they are doing the exercises proposed, the instructor will make them aware of what they have to correct to improve their drawings.
