This workshop will teach you how to take high quality photographs with a smartphone. Get familiar with the basic principles of photography and learn about a variety of genres like portrait, landscape and still life. The instructor will show you how to prevent the most common mistakes when using a smartphone camera, and how to improve the quality of your photograph.

About Anastasia Samoylova:
Anastasia Samoylova is a 2018 ArtCenter resident artist. Her work investigates notions of environmentalism, consumerism and the picturesque. Samoylova has exhibited internationally at Aperture Foundation (New York), Griffin Museum of Photography (Boston), and Museum of Contemporary Photography (Chicago) for example. Her work has been featured in publications such as The New Yorker, Foam, and Wired. She worked as an assistant professor in Photography Foundations, Digital Imaging and Post-Production, Photography-1, Photography-2, and History of Photography at Bard College at Simon’s Rock and Illinois Central College.
