Jenna Efrein
Jenna Efrein is a multimedia sculptor and installation artist. She involves those in her immediate environment for material sourcing like bottle glass and plastics, and conceptual development through conversation. Her work talks about ecology, community and the intersections between the two points. Originally from Brooklyn NY, she moved to Miami in 2014 to teach glass and sculpture at the University of Miami. She quickly embedded herself into the creative culture by becoming a resident artist at the BAC in 2015. Since then, she has participated in over 20 exhibitions locally including the Mindy Solomon Gallery and MOCA North Miami. Her work has also been exhibited nationally in spaces like the Wiregrass Museum in Alabama and the University of Buffalo Gallery of Visual Studies. In recent years, Efrein has been an Artist Access Grant recipient and resident at the Vermont Studio Center.
