Xavier Cortada
Xavier Cortada creates work that addresses societal and environmental issues, often in collaboration with scientists. At CERN in Switzerland, Cortada and a particle physicist created a piece celebrating the discovery of the Higgs boson. Cortada has done installations around the globe addressing topics like peace, child welfare and AIDS, and his works are in permanent collections at Perez Art Museum Miami, NSU Museum of Art, and Whatcom Museum among others.
