Collado is a multimedia artist working with site-specific installations that encompass painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and audio. Her practice considers concepts that allude to the restoration of histories once muted due to natural and human interventions and the paradoxes in time.

For a research project focused on the subversive nature of textiles used by African Maroons that were instrumental in hundreds of uprisings throughout the Caribbean and later through the Underground Railroad in the Southern United States.

For an experiential and interdisciplinary project that explores how textiles have served as instruments of subversive resistance and identity reconciliation, disrupting colonial, authoritarian rule in the Americas.

Zafa: Preserving the Oral Tradition. Preserving the etymologies of five sacred narratives from the Dominican Republic by recording and sharing these oral traditions as told by Dominicans in South Florida and the island of Hispañola.
