Oolite Arts Announces New Leadership in Development Team

August 14, 2025 – As part of Oolite Arts’ continued investment in building sustainable support for Miami’s artists, we are pleased to announce two leadership updates within our Development team. Megan Braasch has joined the organization as Chief Development Officer, and Nuria Richards has been promoted from Interim Director of Development to Director of Development and Advisor of Strategy.

Megan joined Oolite Arts in July 2025, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in fundraising across large healthcare and higher education systems, international humanitarian aid, and grassroots community-based initiatives. Most recently, she led development operations at the University of Miami’s School of Nursing and Health Studies, where she closed out a $25 million campaign, launched the Dean’s Board of Advisors, and built meaningful partnerships with donors, healthcare leaders, and institutional funders. Recognized for her strategic mindset and dedication to mission-driven work, Megan is deeply interested in how arts organizations and artists contribute to community health, activate public spaces, strengthen civic engagement, and advance equity.

Nuria joined Oolite Arts in January 2025 and stepped into her current role in July 2025, following her service as Interim Director of Development. A mother, arts leader, cultural producer, and advocate for the creative economy, she brings extensive experience in fundraising, strategic planning, and community engagement. Before Oolite Arts, Nuria was Director of Development at Locust Projects, leading strategic fundraising efforts during the organization’s milestone 25th-anniversary expansion to Little River. She has also held leadership roles at Piero Atchugarry Gallery and Ascaso Gallery, overseeing museum relations, operations, business development, and strategic planning.

Megan and Nuria share a dedication to advancing Oolite Arts’ mission and securing the necessary resources for Miami’s artists to flourish and create a lasting impact. We are confident their combined expertise will significantly boost our fundraising efforts and cultivate stronger relationships with our valued donors.
