Information
This is an ideal course for beginner-intermediate students who want to learn a simple step-by-step process to represent a basic portrait in different positions, following the concepts of symmetry, proportions, measurements, comparison and shading.
Students will learn how to make and combine all the facial features while building the whole portrait. We’ll start by drawing the structure, adding the elements, shading, and completing all details in the portrait.
No previous drawing training is required.
The first half of the course will cover all portrait positions: frontal, profile, and three-quarter positions, using a drawing system, making it possible to visualize the human body forms from every point of view.
In the second half of the course, the students will be introduced to drawing a Portrait according to an expressive proposal, transforming its representation to a more abstract way, having references to modern masters of expressionism, until gradually they are going to be guided to experiment and practicing their way to represent a Portrait
Upon registration, students will receive the handouts and needed materials.
