Information
Join local fiber artist and sustainability advocate Pangea Kali Virga for a vibrant four-part workshop series exploring the creative world of Fiber Art and Fashion.
Whether you’re new to fiber arts or an experienced maker, a fashion enthusiast or sustainability advocate, these workshops invite you to dive into four dynamic techniques: Dyeing, Decorative Mending, Appliqué, and Tee Upcycling. Take one or attend all — each workshop offers a unique hands-on experience!
In this session, you’ll learn two distinct dyeing techniques: natural bundle dyeing with plants and tie-dyeing. Practice dyeing fabric squares for a collaborative community patchwork, and create your own one-of-a-kind piece to bring home.
Fabric and dyes are provided, but you’re encouraged to bring a 100% cotton t-shirt or garment from home to personalize during class.
Participants will leave with beautifully dyed textiles, a materials list to continue experimenting beyond the workshop, and plenty of creative inspiration. This session emphasizes sustainability, self-expression, and play.
No experience necessary — all are welcome!
