Persona Poems: Writing Through the Eyes of Another

Join resident artist Pangea Kali Virga and Nico Hough for an interactive evening of exhibition exploration, creative writing, and poetry performance. Beginning with a casual, discussion-based tour of “Sites of the Self,” participants will engage with the artworks and themes of identity, perspective, and self-representation.

Drawing inspiration from “Sites of the Self,” attendees will write persona poems, poems written in the voice of another, from the perspective of an artist and an artwork of their choice. The evening will conclude with a collaborative poetry reading in which participants read one another’s poems aloud, creating unexpected connections between writer, reader, artist, and audience.
