The Art of the Pitch, An Essential Career Development Skill
Skill Level:
Beginner to intermediate
Instructor:
Robin Cembalest
Make that 30-second elevator ride worth your while! The Art of the Pitch narrative is an opportunity for artists to be confident, concise and clear. Pitching doesn’t have to be intimidating, rather it’s a well-crafted authentic statement that is informative, piques interest, and will hopefully invite more questions and relieve social stress as you build your career. Join us via Zoom for this digital participatory workshop with Social Media and Editorial Strategist, Robin Cembalest.
Cembalest returns after leading her vibrant workshop, the Art of Instagram. Drawing on her distinctive mix of skills as an arts journalist and social media expert, she helps artists to develop how to pitch as an essential career development skill. She will workshop tactics to convey distinctive elements of art practice into a few talking points–and how to convey those points most effectively. Cembalest led this workshop at AIM/Artist in the Marketplace, the Bronx Museum’s acclaimed professional development program.
The link and password to the workshop will be provided 48 hours before the class.
