To create a public mural in Miami that counters these uncertain times by focusing on people, families and their love for each other.
● Mark Fleuridor: Beach Day and Being Held
Creating two site-responsive murals in downtown Miami as part of Fringe Project‘s PUBLIC COLOR, the artist’s installations further his interest illustrating the fleeting moments that shape one’s character and the necessity of presenting Black joy in the public sphere.
PUBLIC COLOR is organized by María Elena Ortiz in partnership with Deborah Di Capua of Fringe Projects. The exhibition is made possible with the support from John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, Downtown Development Authority Miami, Miami Design District Miami, and The Ellies, Miami’s visual arts awards, presented by Oolite Arts.
