2025 High School Internships
At Oolite Arts, we’re dedicated to cultivating the next generation of creative professionals. Our High School Internship Program is designed specifically for junior and senior students, offering them a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of an arts organization. Interns will gain hands-on experience across a range of roles within our facilities.
Through this experience, we aim to inspire and empower students by highlighting the many career paths available in the arts—and showing that a creative career can be both fulfilling and achievable.
During the internship, students will have numerous professional development opportunities, including writing and public speaking workshops. They will also have the chance to connect with artists through work days and community lunches, and engage with Oolite staff to gain insight into their creative processes. At the end of the internship, each intern will be required to create a small presentation to reflect on their experience and share what they’ve learned. This presentation will be given during a celebratory goodbye lunch with the staff and resident artists.
Programs Internship
As a Programs Intern, students will gain behind-the-scenes experience in the planning and execution of Oolite’s public programs, exhibitions, and events. This role is ideal for students who are curious about how creative experiences come together—from concept to community impact.
Interns will assist the Programs Team across various areas, including the Artist Residency, Exhibitions, Education, and Cinematic Arts. This internship provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to dynamic programs that engage and connect artists with the local community.
Printshop Internship
As a Printshop Intern, students will work closely with Oolite’s Printshop Manager to support the daily operations of a professional printmaking studio. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to learn about printmaking techniques, studio maintenance, and how a shared creative space functions.
Interns will assist with keeping the Printshop organized, clean, and ready for daily use. They’ll play an active role during open studio hours, helping to support resident artists and community members as they utilize the space.
