Carrington Ware
Carrington Ware is a multidisciplinary artist based in South Florida. Her work explores leisure and mundanity within the Black experience. Utilizing digital and traditional practices, Ware employs various mediums to serve as a lens for a softer perspective of Black life.
Selected solo exhibitions include Soft (2023) Tunnel and Leisure (2022) Miami Beach Urban Studios, Miami, Florida. Selected group exhibitions include The Lowe Museum, Banned! An Interactive Lucy St. Project (2023), Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami, South Florida Cultural Consortium (2023), and Stove Works, Y’all Don’t Hear Me: The Black Appalachia (2023).
Ware was selected for Chautauqua’s Visual Arts Residency (2020) and was awarded the Ratcliffe Art and Design Fellowship (2018 – 2020).
