Tangella S. Maddox

Tangella is focused on Oolite’s fiscal strategy and finance and accounting operations. She also provides oversight financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, financial operations of the CFO office and facilities. Tangella comes to us from Manhattan School of Music in New York, the largest independent conservatory in the nation, where she served from 2021-2023. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi, is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Treasury Management Association of Chicago, the National Association of College and University Business Officers, and the University Risk Management & Insurance Association. Tangella’s previous experience includes financial and accounting operations in the private and non-profit sectors and in international business settings in small and large, complex organizations. She was the former Associate Vice President – Finance at Roosevelt University and also served as Interim Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Tangella came to Roosevelt University in 2008 after serving for five years as Director of Internal Audit at the Chicago Housing Authority. Before that, she worked as an auditor for Accenture, a Fortune 500 professional services company that serves 91 of the Fortune 100 companies, and in several different leadership roles in accounting at one of the nation’s leading insurance companies.
