Carolina Cueva is an interdisciplinary artist based in Miami, Florida, originally from Lima, Peru. She earned her BFA from the School of Visual Arts and works across sculpture, performance, and two-dimensional media. Her practice is grounded in storytelling, shaped by explorations of ancestral knowledge, spirituality, and displacement.
Cueva is an Oolite Arts alum (2022–23 Studio Resident, 2021 Home + Away Resident). She is also one half of the performance duo Cuentos Retablados, and her work has been presented in exhibitions and performances across the country, including Photo L.A. (Los Angeles), Dimensions Variable (Miami), the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood, NADA Miami, and Piero Atchugarry Gallery. In 2021, she was awarded both a Wavemaker Grant and an Artist Access Grant.
In addition to her art practice, Cueva is a committed educator, working with museums, schools, and nonprofits across Miami-Dade County to support youth through creative expression and community engagement.
